It seems like the only time our MP’s work is when trying to garner votes from wanainchi, once elected they hibernate in that so called cocoon called parliament enjoying their hefty pay packages which happens to be tax payer money, only to resurface when election time is near with a plethora of pork barrel & demagogouing rhetoric. Watu bure kabisa.

It is so disturbing…the harm us africans are doing to our environment and to ourselves is worse than what Colonialism did! This is unacceptable ignorance-driven greed!

No major industrialization is likely to take place in Kenya, as envisioned in the 2030 goal, without water. Nakuru would be a bigger city by now if it had enough water to attract migrants and investments. Our politicians are always on a five-year vacation. Seems we vote them for that. They don’t THINK, they EAT where they never sowed. That’s the never ending cycle. The politicians like seeing their electorate eat wild berries because this assures them that they’re in CONTROL over the people.

The ministries that are supposed to safeguard natural resources are in a deep slumber. It’s now a free for all thing. Mount Kenya has seen this kind of invasion for a long time. The forests around it are dwindling and with it goes the moisture. The glaciers are as a result shrinking. The fools blame Global Warming while we see the cause. Lake Nakuru is shrinking too bcoz of destruction of water catchment areas. Soon Nairobi’s taps will be dry and water will be valued in carats as gold.

Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka is likely to blame it on Global Warming just as he’s done on desertification in other parts of Kenya. There’s UNCONTROLLED large scale deforestation and destruction of water catchment areas in Kenya going on now. This makes it worse than the destruction of the Amazon rainforest.

Just who is the person allocating such wetlands to individuals? We do not have to lament as we are the same people who chose corrupt leaders

NTVKenya’s role previously is not altered by previous commentary unless freely chosen.

The desertification is quite bad by the looks of it, and water levels appear to be going down to low levels slightly. If water levels fall to far then grass & crops will cause the farmers to lose out economically and in turn the kenyan upperclass will become poorer i.e they will be without resources to trade on the world market.
The ecosystem has be defended even at the smallest level because it effects the higher level city dwellers.
